Roller coaster- nothing really noteworthy about this recording. It’s just a nice wide stereo capture of an old style wood-frame roller coaster. I think there were only 2 or 3 people riding it as I did this recording, as it was a not-at-all busy weekday afternoon in the off season. We get a passing motorcycle at the very beginning, and then a distant plane just prior to the roller coaster.

Ha, no, I didn't actually ride the roller coaster to record it. The interference of the wind sound would be unbearable in that situation I think.
Yes, it is the Giant Dipper in San Diego as LostLewie astutely identified. It's right next to the ocean, and it has a small parking lot right at the base of it, so that's where I set up my equipment, on a day that wasn't windy.

They actually let you take the MacBook on the roller coaster without signing some sort of waiver? :) Glad you did, this fits perfectly for an eLearning course I'm working on.
